Established in 1976 by professional fishermen, Bayside Seafood at Wellington Point is one of Brisbane’s best, family-owned, fresh seafood markets. We supply a full range of seafood in our retail store and to our wholesale customers throughout Wynnum and Redlands Coast. Our store specialty is Queensland caught prawns and crabs direct from our trawlers as well as premium quality oysters, bugs, scallops and a large selection of local and New Zealand fresh fish fillets.

Prawns
Bay Prawns
Also known as Greasy Prawns, this small variety of prawns is caught throughout Moreton Bay from October – April. They are commonly kept raw for bait but cooked they are crisp with a very sweet flavour.
Raw King Prawns
Caught predominantly offshore from Fraiser to the Tweed the Eastern Ocean King prawn is our premium large and extra large size raw prawn, perfect for grilling, BBQ and deep frying.
Cooked King Prawns
The Eastern King prawn is caught year-round offshore in Southern Queensland and is perfect as a cooked medium to large prawn to be eaten cold.
Red Spot King Prawns
The Red Spot King and Blue Leg King are caught in North Queensland around Townsville from April to November and are prized for their appearance and sweet flavour as a cooked and raw prawn.
Raw Tiger Prawns
Caught along the whole inshore Queensland coast large raw tiger prawns have a rich full flavour that is perfect for marinating for grilling, BBQ or frying.
Cooked Tiger Prawns
Caught and cooked fresh onboard in Moreton Bay from November to April, tiger prawns are a firm, rich full flavoured prawn with a beautiful bright red shell available in all sizes.
Endeavour Prawns
Predominantly a North Queensland prawn caught but also found in Moreton Bay, the underrated endeavour prawn is a lighter yellow colour prawn with a firm texture and beautiful sweet flavour.
Raw Banana Prawns
Prolific in the Gulf and along the Queensland coast, banana prawns are caught during the day and have a rich distinct flavour and best for grilling and deep frying
Coral Prawns
A small variety of prawns caught in North Queensland with a large head and hard shell, coral prawns are caught in the winter months and are easy to peel with a sweet flavour.
Prawn Meat
Our prawn meat is peeled in-store from smaller size prawns of all varieties and are sorted out from the catch because they are either broken or have a soft shell and peeled for your convenience.
Raw Prawn Cutlets
Our prawn cutlets are processed from the larger size seasonally available soft prawns caught by our trawlers to make our famous prawn cutlets.
Cooked peeled Prawns
Peeled for your convenience our tubs of cooked prawns are peeled in-store daily from our seasonally available medium prawns.
Leader Prawns
Also know as black tigers, they are deep greenish black with defined white stripes on the upper shell and renowned for growing very large and are a very firm textured flesh with a rich flavour for grilling and BBQ.
Deep Sea Prawns
There are a whole variety of newly marketed deep sea prawns, that are mostly quite small with a soft rubbery shell that are very sweet and suitable for sashimi. As well as the larger growing scarlet prawn with an ornate purplish red shell found hundreds of meters deep.
